Whey protein comes in two forms, concentrate and isolate.
Whey protein concentrate is low in fat and contains approximately 75% protein by weight and is the cheapest to buy.
Whey protein Isolate has been processed to remove the fat and lactose, and contains around 90% protein by weight making it more expensive but has much less fat and carbohydrate than concentrate.
Whey protein is digested very quickly by the body making it an excellent choice for post workout nutrition when your body needs protein fast. Taking whey protein thirty minutes before breakfast is also considered highly beneficial.
